Dr. Dino Patti Djalal
Indonesian citizen, Dr. Dino has served as the Commissioner of VKTR since 2022.
He is a prominent career diplomat, academic, author, and a former member of the Presidential cabinet. Dr. Dino previously served as the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs in 2014, as Indonesia’s Ambassador to the United States from 2010 to 2013, and as the Presidential Spokesperson for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono from 2004 to 2010, making him the longest serving Presidential Spokesperson in modern Indonesia’s history.
Dr. Dino is now actively participating in various independent think tanks and organizations around the globe. He is the founder of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), the Chairman of the Board of World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia, the Chairman of the Indonesian Lecturers Association, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Indonesian Diaspora Network Global (IDN Global), and an Asia Fellow of the Milken Institute.
Dr. Dino received a Doctorate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a thesis on Preventive Diplomacy, a Master’s degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Carleton University.
Anindya N. Bakrie
Indonesian citizen, Anindya Novyan Bakrie is the founding member of VKTR and has served as its President Commissioner since 2022.
He is an Indonesian business magnate, global investor and prominent philanthropist. Through his business community leadership roles over the years, He represents Indonesia and Indo-Pacific business community voices in global fora and summits.
He also serves as the CEO of Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR) an Indonesian listed conglomerate with interests in infrastructure, electric vehicle, mining, oil & gas, power (incl. renewables and solar), property, and plantations. He is also the successor to the 80-year-old Bakrie Group, one of the largest business groups growing with and for Indonesia, with 10 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a combined market capitalization of over US$15 billion. He concurrently serves as President Director of PT Bakrie Global Ventura since 2012, President Director of PT Visi Media Asia Tbk since 2014, President Commissioner of PT Intermedia Capital Tbk since 2013, Commissioner of PT Bakrie Sumatra Plantations Tbk since 2012. Previously he served as Commissioner of PT Lativi Mediakarya (2017-2020) and Commissioner of PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi (2019-2020).
He serves as the Chairman of Supervisory Board (2021-2025) at Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) which is the statutory body of business organisations in Indonesia representing 34 provincial KADIN and +100 thousand businesses nationwide. He also serves as the Chairman of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Indonesia (appointed by two different Indonesian President) - established by APEC in 1995 as the official private sector arm to drive the regional economic cooperation. Through his leadership, ABAC Indonesia initiated the first Indonesia Impact Fund (IIF). Additionally, he is the elected Chairman of the Indonesian Aquatics Federation (PRSI).
He joined the board of director at Oxford United Football Club since 2018 as he led the takeover of majority ownership of the club to be one of the first Indonesian majority owned English football clubs. As a global investor, he is pivoting the Group onto sustainable and digital investments in Electric Vehicle, Batteries, Renewables (mainly Solar PV), Prefab housing as well as Fintech and other emerging technologies.
He graduated from Northwestern University in 1996 as an industrial engineer and earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2001. He started his career in Wall Street as an Investment Banker at Salomon Brothers in its New York office.
After returning from the US, he founded VIVA Group, which owns tvOne (#1 News/Sports nationwide broadcaster) and ANTV (tier 1 entertainment nationwide broadcaster). In total, VIVA Group has a direct reach to over 200 million people nationwide. After 17 years of focusing in TMT sector, Anindya joined the Bakrie Group in 2017 to embed innovation & change to the Group.
He is a prominent philanthropist focusing in people, planet and prosperity through Bakrie Centre Foundation that he established in 2001; and his role in the Board of Trustee of Bakrie Amanah and Patron of Bakrie University. His philanthropic activities covering dozens of cities across Indonesia, with a focus on education, public health, social welfare, environment, and disaster emergency response. Other affiliations include - Trustee, Eisenhower Fellowship; Member, Phillips Academy Andover’s Asia Council. Member, Northwestern University’s International Campaign Committee.
Dr. Okder Pendrian
Indonesian citizen, Dr. Okder is a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of VKTR.
He has served as the Chief Human Capital & Office Support at PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk since 1997. His past positions include Chief HR & Organization Development at PT Bakrie Metal Industries from 2008 to 2011, Strategic HR Advisor at PT Darma Henwa Tbk from 2009 to 2010, and Director at PT Bakrie Strategic Solutions from 2011 to 2021. Dr. Okder holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agro-Industrial Technology from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from IPMI International Business School, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Strategic Management from the University of Indonesia (UI).
