Jakarta, January 11, 2025 - PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk ("VKTR") has once again proven its pioneering in the electrification of public transportation with the ready operation of 20 units of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) electric buses for Transjakarta. The bus is scheduled to serve Corridor 10, the PCG Cililitan - Tanjung Priok Terminal route which is planned to start operating in early 2025 as part of a major transformation towards sustainable transportation in Indonesia.

This step marks an important milestone in Indonesia's journey towards the electrification of public transportation. This CKD electric bus is the first to be integrated into the Transjakarta system with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) above 40%, making it a symbol of the progress of the national automotive industry.

VKTR's ambition is also reflected in its commitment to support Transjakarta's target of becoming fully electric vehicle-based by 2030. In line with this commitment, VKTR is completing the construction of an electric bus assembly plant in Magelang, which will be completed in January 2025. The plant is crucial to strengthen local production capacity, accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, and create a more self-sufficient transportation ecosystem.

These electric buses was developed through a strategic collaboration between VKTR and PT Laksana Bus Manufaktur, a leading bodybuilder in Indonesia. This synergy ensures that each bus meets international standards while still prioritizing the use of high-quality local components.
